Edmonton: Apollo 17 theatre

TELUS World of Science Edmonton, Ontario has plans to redesign part of its space gallery. Owning a moon rock from Apollo 17 mission drove us to start the design for an “Apollo 17 multi media theatre” together with Cochrane Show Communication from Kingston. More to come soon.

NGZ Kiel

Interior design. This Pre-Concept of the ground floor was recently presented to the client “Nieren- und Hochdruckzentrum Kiel”. The site concept of this three story building on the campus of the Lubinus-Hospital will be prepared in spring 2017.

We offered an expert opinion for the interior design of a pharmacy and drugstore. Here are the first ideas.

Ceiling Lamps called Radius

New in the studio! We are just prototyping a series of ceiling lamps which are handcrafted thanks to a team from ERZGEBIRGE. The fixtures are hand painted with several layers of glossy black pr white paint (we are thinking of other colours too). The height of this model is around 820mm.

Wissenschaftsrat in Stuttgart

We were hired to design the graphics and to take part in the event planning for the spring reception of the “Wissenschaftsrat der Bundesrepublik Deutschland”. The reception was held by the University of Stuttgart. Location: the magnificent Schloss Rosenstein.

Haus Ott – new interior

We present our re-creation of a 80′s style family home. The interior of this house was stripped down to the bare walls and we developed the new floor plan, structure and the interior design. We designed the kitchen with concrete counter top, rope nets for the stairs and all of the custom made furniture.

New stool: “Q03”

We have been looking for a stool for different projects that are currently in the works. We liked the “IKEA Benjamin”, but – unfortunately – this project is no longer available. …Mayday – Mayday…

So we took the chance and designed our own product. “my_die” will be made of just 2 pieces: a laser cut, folded iron sheet and a piece of plywood, just fitted together, no fixtures. Finish: powder-coating, colours on demand.

Wallpaper Praxis Savasman

Das flächenfüllende Muster für die Flurwand ist produziert. Die Tapete wurde speziell für die Praxis entworfen und als Unikat ohne Rapport direkt auf die Wand kaschiert. Die Intensität des Musters nimmt Bezug auf die baulichen Gegebenheiten im jeweiligen Wandabschnitt – die Farben des Musters ergeben zusammen mit den monochromen Wandflächen und dem geometrischen Bodenmuster ein räumliches Gesamtbild.
Komplettiert wird die Inszenierung durch eine RGB-LED Schiene über die gesamten 12 m des Flurs. Indirekt beleuchtet sie den Flur und verändert Lichtfarbe und Lichtmenge nach belieben. Mehr dazu in Kürze.

Doctor´s practise

“Work in progress”. Just a few days left to finish the interior. The picture shows the welcome desk with a sandstone surface. We found a contractor in Porta Westfalica who was able to deliver 2 mm thin, highly flexible layers of stone. The stone is water jet cutted from big blocks. Size of the panels 1.15 x 2.85 m. Grand Opening 2nd week of December.

Nur noch wenige Tage bis zur Fertigstellung des Innenausbaus der Praxis. Empfangsbereich: Counter mit einer gebogenen Oberfläche aus Sandstein. Wir haben einen Lieferanten in Porta Westfalica gefunden, der in der Lage ist, 2 mm dünne, hochflexible “Schichten” per Wasserstrahl von grossen Sandsteinblöcken zu schneiden. Die einzelnen “Platten” haben die Rohabmessung 1.15 x 2.85 m. Eröffnung in der 2ten Dezemberwoche.

Arztpraxis Entrée

Concept and design of a doctor´s surgery (see more posts at “Praxis Drs. Bernau”. This will be the entrance and reception. Colour consultancy, reception and waiting area design are ready to go. We almost finished the detailed design brief, floor plans, and interior design. Construction has started and we look forward to getting some photos on the site in a couple of weeks!

Gesamtkonzeption und Design einer Arztpraxis (siehe “Projects: Praxis Drs. Bernau”). Die Planung für den Eingangs- und Empfangsbereich sind abgeschlossen und das Gestaltungskonzept für die Inneneinrichtung ist bereit zur Umsetzung. Die Konstruktion der Einbauten hat bereits begonnen und in kürze gibt es Bilder dazu.
